The Comanche Trace Certified Junior Golf Program

We at Comanche Trace understand the importance of our junior members being involved with the game of golf at an early age and want to provide an opportunity for them to learn, play and have fun with the game.

Program details below:

When:

Our scheduled times to meet will be the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month starting

January 8, 2011

Time:

12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Where:

The Comanche Trace driving range

Who:

Any Junior member under the age of 18

Cost:

Membership: January 1, 2011December 31, 2011-$100. After July 1, 2011-$50 per child. Includes clinic hours, special prizes/awards and 2011 rules of golf book.

This program is designed for the student to ask questions during clinic hour and practice and complete short-term goals away from the clinic hour. We encourage each parent/guardian to assist them in completing the goals and if ever needed schedule private lessons with our professional staff.

Program Objectives:

1. Our juniors will be taught the game's history and traditions; its rules; expected etiquette; and potential values.

2. Provide well-organized and conducted junior clinics twice a month.

3. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of golf (grip, stance, posture, etc.)

4. Playing and practicing the game by setting short-term goals and being rewarded for completing those goals.

5. Most importantly to HAVE FUN!

We will enjoy a BBQ dinner catered by The Club at Comanche Trace to include: grilled chicken, ribs, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, iced tea, water and cobbler. A Cash bar will also be available. Entertainment and music will be provided by Elemental DJ. Tickets are $20.00 for adults, $8.00 for chidren ages 6-12, and ages 6 and under are complimentary.
